Buckinghamshire Council produced the following guide from the county boundary at Bledlow to Ivinghoe Beacon, running past Princess Risborough, Wendover, and the Bridgewater Monument at Ashridge. The route passes Chequers, the country residence of the Prime Minister. Buckinghamshire County Council leaflet (last updated in 2003).

The lcknield Way through Buckinghamshire connects with the Swans Way, a 65 mile riders route running from Goring on Thames in Oxfordshire to Salcey forest in Northamptonshire. Also crossing the Icknield Way at this point is the Bledlow Circular Ride. This is a 10 mile ride through Bledlow, Radnage and Chinnor.  Find other rides in Buckinghamshire.

The Ridgeway National Trail runs for 85 miles, from Ivinghoe Beacon to Avebury in Wiltshire. The Icknield Way Rider’s Route is a 23 mile ride crossing the Chilterns from Bledlow to Pitstone, following as close as possible to the Ridgeway where quiet roads and bridleways allow. In 2021, discussions are ongoing about rebranding the Buckinghamshire section of route on or adjacent to the Ridgeway as a the Ridgeway Riding route to reduce confusion.
