Suffolk

In Suffolk the route passes through the picturesque villages of Gazeley, Dalham and Moulton and there are wonderful views over the Breckland with its unique landscape of large sandy fields separated by windbreaks of gnarled Scots Pines.

In Euston a new bridleway has been created, so the equestrian and cycle routes have been adjusted to use the bridleway to avoid a busy road.

The Icknield Way at one time included an equestrian route through Newmarket. This has not been included on the maps as it is not clear that the route is still usable. Welcome any feedback or advice from local riders.

The route ends at Knettishall Heath in Suffolk where you can join the Peddars Way National Trail northwards to the North Norfolk Coast path.  Other cycle & bridle routes in Norfolk.
